Misunderstanding

Every day after dinner, Jason takes a bath and my husband helps him. My duty is to dry him and put him in clothes.

18 February 2010

Jason: Stop, papa! Mama should dry me not you. (I was in downstairs and run to upstairs)

Husband: OK.

Jason: You just go to downstairs and "cuci piring" (English: wash dishes)

Husband: But, I did "cuci piring" twice. Don't you remember?

I am getting confuse when I heard my husband's answer. Because I knew, he still not wash dishes and now he said he did, twice.

Me: You didn't "cuci piring" yet. Do you know the meaning of "cuci piring" isn't it.

Husband: I DO! Wash hands isn't it.

Me: NO! Cuci piring is wash dishes.

We both laughed.

Husband: OK. I really needs to learn Bahasa Indonesia. He is better than me. LOL.
