Last Sunday, we went to the city to watch Stiletto Race 2009. I don't know if in your city or country have this kind of race. The participants for the Stiletto Race was only for women. They had to RUN with high heels. This year, the winner from Stiletto Race got 1.000 euro.
The race began for children under 5 years with one of their parents. Only 3 children who participants. The winner got a bike.
After that was race for children 5 - 12 years. The winner got a bike as well.
The last race was Stiletto Race. Too bad, I didn't know which one was the winner because it was getting dark and Jason was too tired to follow until finish.
As you can see, there was one man between those women. But he was not real participant, he was giving us an entertainment by running between those women ;) I didn't know if you could see that he was using protection for his knees hi hi hi hi...
Will you join that kind of race to win 1.000 euro?? You only have to RUN with HIGH HEELS shoes hi hi hi hi... I don't think I could not ;)

This sounds like a great race for all to watch and a serious race for the runners (except the men who join in). Thanks for sharing such a net set of photos.
Ha ha ha! If i were one of those women who saw that man, i would be amused by his look and started laughing and then ran slower than my competitors. ;p
I have seen pictures of these stiletto races, I cannot even walk wearing them! It looks like a fun event to watch, I liked the parent-child race!
Happy Ruby Tuesday, mine is here.
I can't wear high heels because of my flat feet. I cannot participate. :(
looks like an exciting and fun race! men competing in this race are much more fun to watch, i'm sure.:D
I can't join this kind of race. I'm not used to wearing high-heeled shoes. It's like murdering my feet.
that would be an awesome experience to be there enjoying the race and and laughing out loud! *laugh*
Its a torture to run in heels. I think I will have to throw away the heels after the race. LOL :D
Sounds like a fun time for all!
It's hard enough to walk in high heels sometimes let alone run in them. LOL
ahahhaah! this looks really fun! wish we have something like that in my country. i'd watch definitely!
Great shots! Looks like a fun race.
Haha what a great race. I won't be racing any time soon whith my knee, stilettos or no stilettos! Happy WW

that is too hilarious and something I could never do - I can barely walk in high heels
Looks like a fun race for all! That was one big guy, where did he get stillettos to fit!!! I so seldom wear high heels I would probably fall on my face and do serious damage. Thanks for sharing this great event.
Great way to get kids out of the house! Happy WW:)
Wow, I've never seen anything like it! Very interesting photos!
I think I've ever since this on TV or something. Very interesting... made me wonder how did all the woman manage to run with their heels! I can't even walk a proper line with them :P
I think I'd have to wear a helmet, elbow and knee pads. And maybe ankle braces...but I'd do it! It looks like it was a fun day!
Crazy fun thanks for sharing that
1000 Euros, they must be hooked up with those e-mail sweepstakes I always seem to be winning LOL...
Has anyone ever broen a leg running in high heels?
I tried to find out in which city it was, the price was in € so it must be in Europe and I found out Holland.
I don't wear high heels so it wouldn't be something for me but certainly very funny to watch !
I couldn't do it
That sounds like something i'd like to watch! I can not for the life of me walk in heels. UGH!!!

Well, given a chance, I may join the race but you mentioned the race was only for women. I love the first shot especially; look at the smile on the little boy's face. I think he enjoyed it totally.
i like watching races, i actually joined in my high school days, the man was really an entertaining one :-) mine is up at http://racelyn.com/2009/04/ww-babys-walk-in-sand.html and http://my-crossroad.com/2009/04/ww-bonding.html
This is CUTE! Never heard of this before he he he...
hahahahahhh...saw the link from Mel's site, just had to click it! Funny enough, one of my girlfriend is in the army, and I remember last time we were late for the tram on the way to go out clubbing, she ran ahead to stop the tram for us, while wearing a neckbreaking 9 cm heel, which did not slow her down one bit!!!! All the rest of us were waaayyy behind, even though her heels were the highest...
