My college's life

My college's life was not easy life. I come from not rich family. My mother can not afford me to go to college. I knew if I wanted to go to college like my other friends. I had to work first. That's why I choose to go to economic high school majoring accounting. So, when I graduated from economic high school, I could direct work.

In 1994, I graduated from economic high school and direct worked as staff accounting. In 1995, I went to college also majoring in Accounting but in the evening from 5 pm until 10 pm, everyday from Monday until Saturday. In the morning, I worked from 7 am - 4 pm. The director where I was working allow me to back home 1 hour early than my other colleague. BUT I had to start work 1 hour early than my other colleague.

It was tiring and sometimes stress but I had to do that if I want to success. Sometimes at lunch time, I only pause for around 15 minutes only for eat. Then I continue my work again. Or if I don't have much work, I learn or do my homework. I didn't have free time that time. Because sometimes at Sunday, I still have to do my homework or sometimes I brought my office's work back home. Because I could not manage to finish it at the office. I didn't have time to hang around at the shopping center with my friends. BUT sometimes we went when we had college's vacation time. I still have contact with some of my college's friends via sms. Because I live now far from them. I move to different country 4 years ago.

College's life not only tiring but also difficult time for me. Because my salary at that time, it was not enough to pay my tuition every 6 months. I don't have father, so...I also had to support my mom and my brother's life at that time. Lucky, I have best friends who allow me to borrow their money to pay my tuition. I paid every months to them, little by little. For 4,5 years, I worked so hard at the office and learned at college. I finally graduated.

That's why I told you at the beginning my sentences that "my college's life was not easy life." But it was worth to fight it, because around 1 year after I graduated. I got promoted to become section head finance accounting, I had more salary. So...I could pay all my loan from my best friends and I could have saving for my brother's college that time.

In here, I want to thanks to all my best friends and my ex-Director at my work who allowed me to go early. In the end of my college, my ex-director also loan me some money to pay my extra tuition from his own bank account. I will not forget that moment :D

That's a great post to what I can relate quite easily!...
I'm 31 and still waiting for my opportunity to get my college degree...
But on the other hand life, life tastes so much better when we have to struggle to get what we want!

You are one tough girl. In a way, you're also very lucky because you have friends and boss who supported you all the way. :)
